What to Expect

Itinerary

Day 1Departure from Islamabad

We’ll pick you up according to the decision point in Islamabad a “Welcome to Pakistan” meeting. Roam in Islamabad and relax at Hotel. 

Day 2Fly to Skardu

Next-Day we’ll take a flight to Skardu Airport. We will be spending a free day and roam in Skardu valley, do the shopping and enjoy traditional meals. 

Day 3Spend Free Day in Skardu City

After breakfast, the members will walk to the historical forts in Skardu, which is located up on a mountain. A fort named “Kharpocho” gives an amazing view of the Indus and Skardu city. The members will a choice to take a tour to Sadpara Lake followed by free shopping time in Skardu city Bazaar.

Day 4Stay at Rakaposhi. Nagar, Gilgit

By this time is would be night, so we’ll be having dinner and stay at one of our hotels at Rakaposhi, Nagar, Gilgit. 

Day 5Drive to Askole

Next Morning, the members will start the jeep safari to Daso, it will go through the Shigar valley. The journey will be followed on the sides of Braldu river which extends to Askole. Askole will be the last village on the route, the members will have to start trekking after leaving jeeps behind. It can take you between six to eight hours in covering the distance.

Day 6Trek from Askole to Jhola via Snout of Biafo Glacier

After the completion of the fundamental supplies list and equipments, the poters will stack up for the journey ahead to Jhola. The valley is a passage to Biafo glacier that streams more than fifty kms from Hispar La to Braldu. The members will encounter the moraine walking as the snout of the glacier is crossed and they will drop to lunch spot alongside the Korofon stream.

The route will take to the conjunction of the river of Braldu and Domordo. The previous path isn’t taken for the journey and rather a more current path will lead us to go upstream where the members will cross the stream by bridge. On the opposite side of the bridge, the members will slide to the edge of the Braldu river and will follow the stream bank to arrive at the camp at Jhola.

Day 7Trekking from Jhola to Paiju by following the Braldu river

On this day of our K2 base camp trekking the members will follow the Braldu gorge, along the bank of Braldu river. The members will actually want to see amazing rocks of Trango Tower and Cathedral Peak. The members ought to keep themselves from conceivable sun burns and during this day as the walking conditions can be exceptionally dry and warm.

Day 8Rest in Paiju

The members will go through the day at Paiju Camp for acclimatization and rest. Anyway the poters will take as much time as necessary to prepare themselves bread for one week from now on the glacier. Acclimatization walk can likewise be taken towards Paiju Peak base camp on this day.

Day 9Trekking from Paiju to Khoburtse

On this day the walking will get intense however the view will get stunning with each step taken onto the snout of Baltoro Glacier. Day 10Crossing the small glaciers and walk to Urdukus

Day 11Trekking to Goro II, the Junction of the Baltoro Glaciers and the Young Husband

The members will nr climbing up and down on the rough peaky moraine and as the members push forward they will walk past a gigantic glacier.

Day 12Trekking to Concordia through Rocky Moraine

On this day of the K2 base camp journey, the members will arrive at Concordia after persistently walking up the moraine. On the way up there, increasingly more high snowcapped peaks will show up. The summit for the sighting of K2 will be capable on this day. Other peaks could be sighted, like Broad Peak, Miter Peak, Gasherbrum, Sia Kangri and some more.

Day 13Trekking to Broad Peak BC, Gilkey Memorial and K2 Base Camp

Today there is the chance to walk up the Godwin-Austen glacier to the Art Gilkey Memorial (an American geologist and mountain climber) not long before K2 Base camp. This is a long yet a stupendous day. We will leave early morning, crossing the glacier onto the weak path heading towards K2 (there is a weak rough path as far as possible). As we follow the glacier towards K2 the mountain appears to become greater and greater. On this day the members will advance toward the camping area of Urdukas, they will follow a similar path down through the glacier to Goro I. They will encounter incredible views on Trango Towers before their arrival at Khurburtse. Despite the fact that the members will be going on a similar path, anyway, the views on the way back will be totally extraordinary.

Day 16Trekking back to Camp Paiju

Day 17Trekking to Jhola Campsite

The walking on this day will be quite simple as the members will be following a similar path to the Bradlu gorge. Be that as it may, there might be some river crossing this day. The camping area will be made at Jhola.

 

Day 18Trekking to Askole and Drive to Skardu Town

On this day the members will have returned to Askole town by walking up the side of the river to the bridge. The members will give some unwinding to their feet as they will be moved in jeeps after lunch to Skardu.

Day 20Fly to Islamabad

On this day the members will take a flight from the airport in Skardu to Islamabad airport. You will have a good time to relax at the hotel in Islamabad. Domestic flights can get canceled due to weather conditions. In case of the flight cancellation, you will drive to Chilas overnight. It will take eight to ten hours by vehicle.

Day 21Fly to home country

Our staff will move every one of our visitors to the air terminal on their particular takeoff timings. The checkout season of all our accomplice lodgings is 12pm.
