Rozefs Tourism offers Sost Border Tour. Sost is a town in Gojal, Upper Hunza, Gilgit–Baltistan, Pakistan. It is also known as the last town of Pakistan on the Karakorum Highway before the Chinese border (Khunjerab Pass). It is 2,800 meters above sea level. The town is an important place on the highway for all passenger and cargo transport. All traffic crossing the Pakistan-China border passes through this town. Moreover, the Pakistani immigration and customs departments are based here at Sost. Pakistan and China have opened borders for trade and tourism at Khunjerab Pass.
It takes around 1 hr to reach Khunjearb pass from the Sost border, the road distance is around 80 km. There are a few gas stations available in Sost Bazar as well.
Islamabad
Sost town is the Last town of Pakistan, the participants will get shopping time on return to Sost for Chinese goods (watches, electronics etc). Sost Tour is one of the recommended tours as well. After this, next destination would be Khunjerab Pass, if the tour is already determined to visit the pass. Which is the Pak China border. also the highest border in the world. The Khunjerab pass is full of the snow during winters and in summer it is lush green. Also, there is world’s highest ATM on the Khunjerab pass.
We’ll pick you up according to the decision point in Islamabad at a “Welcome to Pakistan” meeting. Then we will continue our journey to Gilgit.
Enjoy the stay and lush green Naran & Kaghan Vally. You can roam around and do the shopping at the Naran Bazar. Moreover, if you want to hike and enjoy the best view of the valley, its also possible.
However, it is open only in summer, so if your tour is in summer (April-Oct) then we’ll use Naran route if we’re traveling via car. Otherwise, we’ll be using the Besham route with KKH (Karakoram Highway).
Babusar Top is a marvelous tourist attraction point, with 4,170m height above sea level. However, it is open only in summer, so if your tour is in summer (April-Oct) then we’ll use the Babusar route if we’re traveling via car.
By this time it would be night, so we’ll be having dinner and staying at one of our hotels in Gilgit. Then we will be continuing our tour according to our planned tour.
Breakfast at hotel. Continue travel to Sost Border, short stay at Attabad lake and Passu cones. Arrival in Sost, lunch at hotel. Continue travel according to our plan or return to Gilgit.
Start travelling to Islamabad. Stay overnight in Naran.
Breakfast at Hotel in Naran. Continue travel to Islamabad. Arrival in Islamabad on the same day.
I went to Gilgit tour with my family. The car, hotel, and everything was pretty managed. It was totally worth traveling with Rozefs!
